Given that it competes with the Metropolitan, this museum is not given the recognition it deserves. While the collection is not as big, it is excellent. Here you will find works by Van Gogh, Chagall, Dali, Monet, Klimt, Matisse, Kahlo, Gauguin, Lichtenstein, etc. And such great works as Van Gogh's "Starry Night"
Charlie Chaplan
Paul Cezanne "L'Estaque".
Picasso's "Women from Avignon" was originally titled "Brothel at Avignon"
Marc Chagall's "I and the Village".
Gustav Klimt's "The Fine Art of Pregnancy."
One by Pete Mondrian. "Broadway Boogie Woogie" is here too.
Jackson Pollock's "One Number 31"
Dali's "Persistence of Memory." with his characteristic melted clocks.
"Christina's World" by Wyeth.
Cezanne?
